Box 7 Folder 23: "Folder 23 is a picture of Victor Boykin, otherwise known as “Spider Man,” who was on WBUL from ‘77 to ’79. One of WBUL's slogans was "the sound of young America." Ron January says he had a good following and said he tried to recruit him to WJLD but couldn't . He remembered Boykin leaving for the Carolinas to sell cars. This picture we approximate to be from 1978. Donated from photographer Lucious Washington."
