Box 1 Folder 23: "This is box 1 number 23, which is a clipping from the Birmingham News we approximate of December 8, 1945, which begins to talk about WJLD’s receiving an fm license and they will construct a facility on Red Mountain and this is the discussion of the beginning of Red Mountain as a broadcast radio center. This is of course before TV began in that area, so radio stations were up on Red Mountain. This again from 1945 from the microfiche at the Birmingham News Archives at the library."
