Box 7 Folder 11: "Alright, here from ‘77 is a picture of Larry Hayes and Willie McKinstry, probably the last year of Willie’s life. 1977 I think is when he passed. And he is receiving an award in 1977. Willie has to be the one receiving the award, not Larry. What is the award? I don’t know. But in ‘77 he would have been in broadcasting for 30 years. Larry knew McKinstry from the time Hayes worked at WJLD. At the time of this award, Hayes would have been at WENN. Donated from McNair Studios collection."
