This one page from the Bessemer city directory is in here because it lists WBCO radio station at 17th and 3rd Ave in Bessemer. Now it is the case that not everything gets updated all the time, but as of 1953, the printing of this directory, it is presumed that WBCO radio was located at 17 23rd Ave in downtown Bessemer. There is no phone number associated with them and it is the only radio station listed in Bessemer in the 1953 city directory. Which is interesting because WJLD had just moved. They had just moved to the mountain from the Bessemer Superhighway. There you have it."
