Box 2 Folder 22: "Alright, we now are looking at folder 22. This is from the Bessemer City directory 1951. Two stations listed: WBCO radio station on 17th and 3rd Avenue and that was the first location for WBCO. WJLD was at this time of course on the Bessemer Superhighway, its third location, so the only radio station in Bessemer proper was WBCO. WJLD was still in Bessemer but on the Bessemer Superhighway at this time. I got this from, well there was a Bessemer City directory probably in the Birmingham library and I copied that out of there to kind of confirm where the stations were at a particular time. Okay."
